I am originally from Jacksonville, Texas. I got my Bachelor's degree in elementary education and gifted and talented from Baylor University (Sic 'Em, Bears!). I went straight through to get my Masters degree at Baylor in Educational Psychology with a focus on gifted and talented and reading. This is my 4th year at TCE, and I love it! I have looped between 2nd and 3rd grades, and this year I am back in 3rd grade. I absolutely love working with children, and I believe that all children can learn when given the right opportunities and environment.
I have 2 sisters, and I am the middle child. My older sister is married, and she and her husband have 2 boys - Tyler and Connor. I absolutely love being an aunt! : ) She is also a teacher and teaches high school journalism, yearbook, and newspaper. My younger sister just got married this summer, and my new brother-in-law's name is Brett.
When I am not doing school stuff, I love to spend time with family and friends. I love to exercise and shop!
I am so excited about teaching 3rd grade this year! I cannot wait for all of the fun learning experiences we will have this year. I know we are going to learn a lot together!
